A New Thing
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
Today is the day! Day one of reading through IMMERSE as a church! We will have daily devotionals, by our RL writing team, that will follow along with each day’s reading and we are just thrilled as a team to join you in diving deeper into God’s Word TOGETHER!
Today we read pp. A9-6 and I love that we start in Luke with new beginnings and impossible things taking place.
The Angel, Gabriel said to them:
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.” Luke 1:35-37
How Mighty the Lord our God is! I love the last line where it says… “the word of God will never fail.” I think of God’s truthfulness, unchanging nature, and love for humanity.
That even when we might fail, He is still God on the throne and making a new thing in all of creation each day… creating the possible out of the impossible!
