Time to Build

Did you get excited about building a temple in your heart when you heard the sermon this last weekend? Or maybe you were concerned with the status of your foundation?

Check out what Isaiah 43:19 says...

You see, there is something innate in us that desires to perceive that God is doing a new thing! We long to see God work and for His power to move through our lives... We want to see God change us, turn our wastelands into promise lands!

But sometimes we fear what the soil might reveal when it gets disturbed in the building of the temple in our hearts. Sometimes we get too comfortable in our ways or we "check out" in the building process.

Although it might come with growing pains, God desires to make you and I a Sacred Space. A living embodiment of God's love and affection. A vessel of truth and grace. A temple pleasing to His heart.

It might mean giving up that TV show or reels. It might mean not going to that bar or making a better choice in how you spend your weekends. It might look like finding your place to serve! Or bringing a friend a meal... just for the sake of doing so.

It's going to mean opening your Bible. It is going to mean pouring yourself into prayer and time with the Lord. It is going to mean that you and I will have to humble ourselves in the best way for the sake of building the temple in our hearts.

Time to build...
