Every Moment
By: Pastor Todd Crofford
We live in a world full of cameras. They are absolutely everywhere. I jokingly tell people it is getting harder and harder to be the “bad guy” because someone will catch everything you do on camera. Furthermore, whatever we do or write, even when we delete it, it seems someone has captured it. It’s a bit discouraging to think your worst moments can be remembered forever.
How different when we consider that the God of the universe who sees every moment, can and does choose to not remember our worst against us. Our promise keeping God says “I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins." (Hebrews 8:11)
God is not some old man with a faulty memory who can’t remember things, he is a loving God who chooses not to hold them against us because Jesus has cleansed those sins. This is why we are said to be living under the better covenant. Before Jesus, all sin was temporarily covered, but now through Jesus we can be permanently forgiven. Walk in freedom today knowing that for all confessed an forsaken sin, it is gone. Totally, completely, irreversibly, and eternally gone from us. Live in that freedom today.
