Take Heart
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
Our hope does not rest in the latest iphone or the latest laptop. It does not rest in ChatGPT, Copilot or any other chatbot. Our hope doesn’t come close to being in the newest self-driving car or new drone tech.
Our hope is in the Lord. It is in eternity with Him!
As advanced as our technology is becoming, it is easy to see that it is causing quite a bit of trouble in our world. Not the printer jam type of “trouble”... but more like the online fighting, rage-baiting, cancel culture, fake girlfriends and boyfriends and AI that tells you when you should brush your teeth and how to rob a bank kind of “trouble”.
Isn’t it just too much…
It can feel a bit hopeless… but watch what Jesus says here in John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God saw that someday, our troubles, although looking a little different from Bible times, would cause us to pull away. To become more reliant on tech than on God.
However…. Did tech overcome the world? Did it die on a cross for our sins? And then rise from the tomb three days later?
No… Jesus did.
Search for peace from Jesus. And rest your hope in the Lord God Almighty. Take heart in these truths and share them with your neighbor.
Preferably face to face!
