Love Me A Testimony
By: Nicole Goddard
I’m such a testimony addict. Nothing gets me more fired up than hearing someone share what God did in their lives.
The goosebumps. The Hallelujahs. The absolute awe. Give me all of it.
Testimonies don’t even have to be a grand, rock bottom, saved by Jesus' story. I get chills just hearing how God miraculously met a need or it could be the story of one person’s obedience leading another to Christ.
Testimonies just feed your soul. They strengthen your faith and point you back to the One.
They’re remarkable and inspiring and require just one thing – the family of God coming together.
The early church noticed this as well. “They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.” Acts 2: 46-47
These new Christ believers were basking in the favor God placed on each of them. Breaking bread and swapping stories all while praising their savior and creator.
Christians need connection with the family of God. Stories of what God has done for another can give you the strength to keep trudging through a hard season. Fellowship can polish our armor so we can go up against the enemy’s schemes. Acquiring a praying friend that intercedes on your behalf is a life changer.
My prayer is you have found this community and if not, ask God to direct you to one. Say yes to the Men’s meet up at the barn, or sign up for a disciple class. Let the joy of other believers inspire you in your own walk with Christ.
