God Loves You!
By: Pastor Todd Crofford
Do you remember when we would sing the song, “Friend of God” at church? The chorus lyric says,
I am a friend of God,
He calls me friend.
I used to joke that it is the ultimate name-dropping song. Can you imagine this? The God of the universe looks at humanity, and he draws us close as friends. No wonder Jeremiah said, “Those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love.”
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Deepseek will never know what it is to be loved by God and have the joy of loving him back. You do. You didn’t earn that by good works, economic status, or even you looks- good looking as you are! God alone chose to demonstrate his love for you.
So stand up a little straighter today, lift your chin and go out and boast to someone that God loves you- and let them know he loves them as well!
