Hours, Energy and Monetary Things
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
Investing in people is probably one of the greatest joys in this life! To give to something greater than yourself with your hours, your energy and your money.
Have you ever started a pay it forward chain in a drive thru? Or spent countless hours serving at a soup kitchen during the winter? Or maybe you have worked tirelessly on a project for the elderly couple that was difficult for them to do that you happen to have a skill set in?
We ALL have opportunities to participate in pouring into others! Whether it be hours, energy or monetary things.
Galatians 6:2 says, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
The kind of legacy that I want to leave behind is one that says I wasn’t afraid to give everything I had to serve God and love people. It’s completely worth it.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for this beautiful day. I pray to be more like you every day of my life. Will you give me opportunities to serve others daily? Will you show me ways to give to others what I so graciously get to steward.
