Watch Out!

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
I remember one time my family was hiking in a canyon and I placed my foot a little too close to the edge. Losing my footing, I felt immediate fear and panic as I felt myself begin to slide. I quickly grabbed the limb of a small tree and was able to right myself.
Awareness is key.
Temptation is a slippery slope and if we are not careful with our footing we can slide off the cliff and into sin. Fear and panic can take over when our sin pulls us into uncomfortable or dangerous situations.
So if there are times we are going to be tempted into sin, how do we keep our footing?
Watch and pray, church. Awareness is key.
If you feel it creeping in, lean into the HOLY SPIRIT.
Grab ahold of the Lord like I grabbed ahold of that branch.
He is there, he is chasing after you, just watch and pray.
