One Size Fits All
By: Nicole Goddard
I hate to admit this, but I’ve been a victim of online clothing ads. You know the ones that catch your eye as you scroll. That witty graphic tee or the perfect summer dress. It’s like Facebook knows your style or something…
One time, this cardigan caught my eye. It perfectly fit my style and I could immediately picture wearing it to a function coming up. The sizing said One Size Fits All and it looked beautiful on the model that seemed to have a similar build to me. The price was right and with just a couple clicks it was on its way to me.
You can probably guess where this is headed – what looked more like a child’s sweater appeared in my mailbox and most certainly did not fit all. Take caution in your online shopping, but trust that there is one area in life we can guarantee that One Size Fits All.
Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:11-12
The Passover lamb protected the Israelites the night of Passover, but on the other side of the Red Sea, their spiritual deliverance wasn’t yet complete. They had to conduct sacrifices day after day to cover their sins over and over again.
But then came Jesus - the one size sacrifice to fit all sins forever. The big sins, the small sins, your sins and my sins. I’ll buy in on that!
