October 21st
Because He Lives

There is an old hymn that I love… It is called Because He Lives. It is a song that gives me joy when things are hard and a way to see past the difficult and look to God’s goodness.
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!”
My husband and I are currently having car problems… who doesn’t!? (And definitely a small problem to have compared to others!!)
And we are learning right now that yes, although this makes us dip into our savings, and we have to make smart decisions about next steps… we trust in God’s ultimate sovereignty and goodness and provision… yes… even over our car troubles.
But church, whatever troubles come your way… remember this “God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.”
From Exodus 2:24.
God hears you today and everyday. He sees you and he is with you!
