Because You Are In It

Can we go deep for a moment? Let me ask you a question: “If 50 years after you are dead, this world is a better place because of something you did, but no one knows it is because of you, are you OK with that?” The world changed, but your name is not attached.
Can we find a passion in life that goes so deep, it overrides our natural desire for credit or profit? Paul told the Romans,
I have reason to be enthusiastic about all Christ Jesus has done through me in my service to God. Yet I dare not boast about anything except what Christ has done through me,
-Romans 15:17-18
When we discover God’s purpose for us, we don’t care that we ever get credit for it - we just long for it to happen. What is that for you? Maybe it is someone cared for or an invention perfected. It could be justice for the overlooked, or a complete reorientation of the direction of your entire family line for Christ. You too have plenty of reason to be “enthusiastic” because God never wastes a committed life, and this world will not be the same because you were in it.
