Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Can we talk about Psalm 118:22-24 for a moment?
You might recall Psalm 118:24 as “This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
It is one of my favorite verses! But really look at the two verses before Psalm 118:24. They say…
“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
This came from the Lord;
it is wonderful in our eyes.”
Psalm 118:22-23
The stone…..
That the builders rejected… threw away… cast aside… scorned… mocked…
Has become the CORNERSTONE.
Church, do you see it yet? We can rejoice in the day the Lord has made because the CORNERSTONE stands as a firm foundation!
JESUS stands as a rock to be anchored to!
I know this world is wild and I know our lives can be filled with strife, sorrow and turmoil. But also undignified Joy, love and beauty.
But gosh I ask this question with such sincerity… is Jesus the anchor in your life through it all?
I remember sitting in a teaching that Pastor Todd was giving and he asked us, what do we do when we face headwinds in life? Do we allow ourselves to be caught up in the wind or do we anchor ourselves to this wonderful cornerstone that came from the Lord.
My challenge to you is to anchor yourself to the cornerstone all the days of your life!
