Worry is a Silly Substitute
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
Don’t give worry headspace.
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything come through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
I remember a time when I was consumed by worry. I would worry about the littlest things. And overtime as I got older, my worries would get bigger.
To the point I couldn’t sleep at night. I didn’t eat right. I wasn’t reading the Bible like I should and I wasn’t giving anything over to God.
I was completely miserable in worry.
But it was a silly substitute for prayer. When I turned towards God and thanked Him for who He was and I began to pray real and powerful prayers, I saw a shift in my headspace.
When you give it all to God with thanksgiving, your life will change!
