Twixmas!
By: Pastor Todd
I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you
-Hebrews 13:5 NASU
Welcome to Twixmas! That week between Christmas and New Year. Maybe the family is still in town, but it feels like it might be about time for them to go home. You know what I mean.
You’re sick of leftovers but not yet ready to diet. The tree isn’t down, but it has lost its luster- and maybe most of its needles.
Maybe you aren’t sure what to do with yourself. It’s that weird in-between state of one year not quite expired and the other not quite birthed. Well, I have good news among the strange in-between. God is right here with you! The same God who didn’t miss a moment of your life in 2023 is poised to go before you into 2024.
So here is one thing you can do for sure this week. Just stop and take some time with him. Reflect back on where you saw him at work this past year and project forward by faith believing that all the uncertainties of 2024 will be swallowed up in his presence.
Then go celebrate with one last piece of pie!
