Always and Forever
By: Pastor Amie Donovan
“Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
-Isaiah 46v4
God is not simply the God of our youth. He is not solely the God of our prime. He’s not only interested in you when you’re proclaiming His name in classrooms, raising children, and serving in ministries 4 days a week. He loves you from womb to tomb. He is passionately pursuing you from the beginning to the end of this life on Earth. When the tables are turned and you’re the one in need over the one meeting needs God comforts us with this promise.
“Even in your old age and gray hairs, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
With each season that turns we serve a God who loves us always and forever. You are seen. You are not forgotten. Live in and love out that truth today.
Father God, we thank you that you love us through it all. We sit in adoration of a Father who doesn’t show favoritism on the young and energetic but still speaks purpose and value into the older. Would you refresh us today? Would we see every day you’ve given us as an opportunity to live into your purposes, even if the way we do it looks different than it used to? Always and Forever, that’s how we will walk with you.
In Jesus's name,
Amen
