Real Life Devotional Series “Hunger” -Week 3 - Saturday, May 1
Pastor Todd Crofford
See You Tonight
You should come tonight to the prayer meeting at Real Life. Really, you should. While we have been focusing this week on what happens in our personal prayer time, there is also something powerful unleashed when we pray together. We believe God plans to do miraculous things in our presence tonight. Whatever he chooses to do, his presence will be worth being there for.
Throughout scripture, powerful things have happened at church-wide prayer meetings, not the least of which was the prayer meeting that actually launched the church, called Pentecost. (Acts 2) The book of Acts also tells of prayer meetings shaking with the power of God (Acts 4:31), Apostles getting miraculously released from prison (Acts 12), people getting called to bold ministries (Acts 13), and mighty fillings of the Holy Spirit (Acts 8).
Prayer meetings happened in homes, prisons, in the street, and even on beaches. It didn’t matter what time of day, how many people there were or where they were happening. When God’s people unify their hearts, something special happens in the heavenlies.
I wonder what might happen tonight? We start at 7:00 in the sanctuary and go until we are done. See you there!
