God’s Love for Us

”See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.“
1 John 3:1 ESV

The love of God is often described as a gift, which means that we don't have to do anything to earn it. It's a free and unmerited favor that God chooses to bestow upon us. When we accept God's love, we become a part of His family, and He becomes our heavenly Father. Sometimes, we may forget the actual value of this gift and take it for granted. However, the reality is that God loves us unconditionally, and He thinks we are amazing just the way we are!

I want to share something important with you. Sometimes, I feel inadequate, especially when I face challenging circumstances. As I grow older, past mistakes, insecurities, and self-defined inadequacy can weigh on me if I allow it to. There have been and will continue to be times when I miss a devotion or forget to pray about something. I am sure you also have areas in your life that you could criticize on your own!

Let's take a moment to reflect on the unconditional love of God. His love is selfless, sacrificial, and freely given to us through the death of His Son. It's a powerful reminder of the depth and beauty of His love for us. As John so aptly puts it, let's focus on this beautiful exhibition of God's love and allow it to inspire and uplift us today.

His love is persistent, insistent, and greater than anything we do or say. It is unconditional, unadulterated, undiminished, and undying.

The great news is that God loves you deeply and desires a personal relationship with you more than anything else. Remember that you are valuable to God whenever you doubt your worth. He chose to adopt you into His family, which proves that you are priceless to Him!
