Three Promises
By: Pastor Mark White

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:58

Did you know that God made promises to those who faithfully serve Him? Yes, really!
I am thinking of three right now.  The Apostle Paul says to the church in Corinth “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58) I want us to notice these five words: "your toil is not in vain."

To the church in Galatia Paul writes, “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time, we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. (Galatians 6:9-10)
Again, I want us to notice the words "we will reap."

And again, the Apostle Paul writes to the church in Ephesus “With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free. (Ephesians 6:7-8)
Notice the words "he will receive back."

So, when we have jumped in and done what was needed but then felt that our actions were ignored, misunderstood, or forgotten… We can be sure it was not in vain!

Or, when we did what was right and with the right motive, but we received no acknowledgment, I mean, not even a "thank you"… We have God's promise that we will reap!

Or, when we have has served and given and sacrificed and then willingly stepped aside for God to receive the glory, our heavenly Father promises that we will receive back!

Come On, How good is that!?
