Joy of the Lord
By: Kaleigh Hoschar

“Then he said to them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
 Nehemiah 8:10 CSB

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine you are at your favorite place, with your favorite people, enjoying your favorite meal!

That is how the Lord wants to spend every moment of every day with you.

Do you feel it? Do you feel it rise up in your soul… the unadulterated, unabandoned, indescribable joy that comes with having Abba, the Father, near to you!

A couple of months ago, my husband and I walked through something hard. And even though it was raw, painful, and heavy, we felt the Joy of the Lord through it all. I found myself incredibly grateful that in the same moment of tears and heartache, there was incredible, unexplainable Joy. And that Joy of the Lord strengthened us in ways that will forever impact our relationship with God!

I want to challenge you today to dance in the darkness and sing in the shadows because the Joy of the Lord is your strength!
