New Year, fresh start!
By: Pastor Amie
Happy New Year's Day! I love the fresh start this day brings every year, don’t you? There’s something about waking up on January 1st that feels good. It feels full of hope. It’s like the prior year is in our yesterday and we are afforded the opportunity to simply look ahead. Of all the things I’m excited about in this next year, I’m most excited to regather with all of you and worship our Amazing God!
“My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.” - Psalm 145:19
Today, I challenge you to find a place to sit with God. To open His Holy Word and bask in His goodness. I challenge you to sing out praises and look at God's Creation around you. Even the trees proclaim His goodness. The leaves have fallen but soon new life will sprout. The chill will eventually fade making room for spring once more. Even the seasons declare His faithfulness.
Pray this prayer with me.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for a new day in a new year. Would you guide our steps and establish our path. Would we seek you in all things and would our lives be lived this year as reflection of your goodness. God. Would we not go one day without recognizing your presence within it. We love you, Lord. Yesterday, today, and forever. We give this new year and each day within over to You.
In Jesus Christ Name,
Amen
