Yes & Amen!
For no matter how many promises
God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.
And so through him the “Amen” is
spoken by us to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 1:20
Have you ever found yourself relying on a promise that someone gave you? I know that I have. Maybe it was a promise from a friend, a family member, or even a business partner. But here's the thing, promises can be broken. People can fail to keep their word, circumstances can change, and disappointment can easily set in.
But, there is one that never breaks His promises - Our Heavenly Father.
The Apostle Paul gives us this powerful reminder of the unwavering faithfulness of God. His promises are not empty words but they carry weight and significance. Every promise He has made has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ the Righteous One. And it’s In Christ that all of God's promises are a resounding "YES!"
When we grasp this truth, it changes everything. It changes the way we approach life. We no longer have to live in doubt or worry, because we know that we have a firm foundation to stand on. We can confidently say "AMEN" to God's promises, declaring our trust and agreement with His plans and purposes.
And there is not one area of our lives that His promises don't cover. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He promises to provide for our needs (Philippians 4:19). He promises to give us wisdom (James 1:5). He promises to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). And the list goes on.
Today, let's take a moment to reflect on the faithfulness of God. And thank Him for His promises and declare our trust in His word. As we say "Amen" to God's promises, we can do it with confidence and joy, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill every single one. May our lives be a testimony to the glory of God as we walk in the assurance of His promises.
Remember, in Christ, every promise of God is a resounding "YES!"
And let all God’s people say “AMEN!”
