You Have Been Invited

Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
Jesus, The Son of God, has been given authority over all things by God the Father. What does Jesus do with it? He empowers His followers with the same God-given Authority!
Matthew 10:1 “And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.”
In Matthew 4:19 Jesus asks fishermen named Andrew, Simon Peter, James, and John to get off their boat and follow him. He says, “I will teach you how to fish for men.” Jesus gave them authority to do the work of God. In Matthew 9:9, Jesus asks a man named Levi to walk away from his life as a tax collector and follow him. Jesus again, gave him authority to do the work of God.
In Matthew 10:38 Jesus says anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Him, is not worthy of Him.
We are invited to leave the place that is holding us back and follow Jesus. The one with authority over all things! This invitation isn’t merely a call to accept Him as our Savior, it is a call to get off the boat. To leave our life of sin. To give ourselves over to our Redeemer and in return, you get to work for God and make a difference in the lives of those around you. You can do it, because Jesus has given you authority!
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
