“Try it, you’ll like it.”
By: Pastor Todd
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the person who takes refuge in him.
-Psalm 34:8 NIV
One of the all-time most successful commercials shows two brothers trying to convince the youngest (Mikey) to try Life Cereal. You may know the iconic line:
“Try it, you’ll like it.”
All the testimonies in the world, all the creative preaching, every instructive word of how we need God and can benefit from knowing him will do nothing for you until you choose to try him.
What holds you back? Fear? Confusion? Maybe it is pride that says I don’t really need him. Whatever it might be, it is a tragedy if you let that stop you from trying the relationship for which you were created.
Ultimately, your life will be fine with or without Life cereal, but you will never be the same once you step out with God. I guarantee you will say, “What was I waiting for?” Don’t you want a taste today?
