Walking in Victory
By: Ryan Carson
As we launch into our “FIRE” sermon series, let’s remind ourselves of this powerful truth: the Holy Spirit isn’t just a helper—it is the power of God alive within us!
Romans 8:11 (NIV) tells, The Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.
The same Spirit that rolled away the stone and breathed life back into Jesus now empowers us to overcome every challenge we face. That’s the key to our victory!
As a worship leader, I’m reminded of one of my favorite old Steve Green songs, “He Holds the Keys.” What a picture of our unstoppable God! He holds every key, and He’s given us the Holy Spirit to unlock every door of fear, doubt, and defeat. Hallelujah!
When we worship, when we serve, and when we walk in faith, we’re not relying on our own strength. Acts 1:8 (NIV) assures us, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” This isn’t a fleeting spark—it’s the dynamic, life-giving power of God that equips us to stand firm in temptation, and persevere no matter what comes our way.
Wherever you are today, take a moment to invite the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh. Let His presence be the dynamite that blasts through every obstacle, every doubt, and every fear you’re facing.
Holy Spirit, we need Your power today. Fill us with fresh fire, boldness, and joy. Let us walk in the victory that Jesus holds the keys and has already won. In His name, amen.
