Worthy of it All
By: Jenn Jones
Revelation 4:11 — “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things…”
In Revelation 4:11, John paints a stunning picture of God seated in glory, being worshiped by all of heaven. The scene is powerful and humbling—every creature declaring God's worthiness to receive all glory, honor, and power because He is the Creator of all things.
As I sat with this verse, I felt compelled to ask myself:
What does God truly deserve from me?
Am I fully obedient? Do I give Him my undivided worship? Am I truly living as a living sacrifice to Him?
I know in my heart that God deserves all of this—my worship, my obedience, my time, my love. And yet, if I’m honest, it’s easy to hold parts of my life back. Sometimes it’s out of fear, comfort, or convenience. Full surrender can feel overwhelming—even impossible.
But then I remembered:
We are not left to do this on our own.
Jesus didn’t just tell us what to give God—He gave us the power to do it through the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit empowers us to obey when it's hard, to worship when we feel dry, to surrender when our flesh resists, and to live holy when the world pulls us to compromise.
Giving God what He deserves isn’t about striving or religious performance—it’s about living in step with the Spirit. It’s a response of love and reverence, fueled by His strength, not ours.
So I challenge you (as I’m challenging myself):
Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Whatever He reveals, respond with surrender. Yield to His voice. And trust that He will empower you to give God what you never could on your own.
