With You Always
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
Psalm 13:1-2
Yearly… October rolls around like an ugly bruise for a lot of us. It comes and it goes. And yearly I wonder, does it ever get any easier?
October was pregnancy and infant loss awareness month and it was something I didn’t even know really existed until a couple years ago when I became part of a community of loss that exists quietly.
I suffered (and sometimes still do) many nights of “Lord will you forget us forever?”, of wrestling with the darkest moments, the panic of becoming a “parent” again. Do I even get to call myself that? Day in and day out of a sorrow that lingers in my heart with no little feet on the floor, no cries, no sweet giggles.
You might be thinking today with whatever you are going through…
How long… Lord?
Please don’t forget that the night doesn’t last forever, friend…. Because the way Psalm 13 ends doesn’t match the beginning. It says this…
But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
Psalm 13:5-6
BUT I TRUST… in God alone.
Who has been so good to me and promises Ryan and I….
That YESTERDAY was written for His GLORY and our good.
That TODAY is well with our souls.
That SOMEDAY all will be made right.
Don’t forget the promise because the promise-maker has NEVER forgotten you. Rejoice for the Lord is near to you and He will be with you always.
