People Over Process

One Sabbath day, as Jesus was walking through some grainfields, his disciples began breaking off heads of grain to eat. But the Pharisees said to Jesus, “look why are they breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?”
Mark 2:23-24
I love this part in Mark… Jesus then tells the Pharisees that the Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, not the requirements of the Sabbath. (Mark 2:27)
Boom!
I LOVE this…
Here is why…
When we get wrapped up in the process or the method we can easily lose sight of the people. This reminds me daily to put people first over process. To really dig in and remember why I do what I do.
