What is your thorn?
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians 12:7-9
I think sometimes when God gives us a “thorn in the flesh”, we can find ourselves with more questions than answers.
But here is what Paul is telling us….
The Lord says to you, when the thorn is hurting, His grace is sufficient and His power is working in you through the pain.
I, personally, would rather be in pain, knowing the Lord is sufficient and His power is overcoming my weakness, than not know the presence of Him in my life. That my life may be a living testimony to His goodness for others to witness.
Also note that we can all carry thorns. We may not know what it is for someone else… What an even greater reminder to love one another in the midst of pain by the love of Jesus shown to us because of his work on the cross
