God and the Impossible

I think our God specializes in the impossible.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
Ephesians 3:20
I love our God and the outpour of the love He has for us. I rejoice in the provision in the impossible seasons. But, one thing I love the most is recognizing our responsibility in the matter of the impossible.
“His power”....
“At work within us”...
What does that mean?
It looks different I think, for you and I, but there are similarities in our surrender to the Lord. It looks like hands outstretched in front and palms up saying “God, it’s yours.” It looks like diving into the Bible in the morning or at night, spending time getting to know God. It looks like praying, like worshiping, like serving, like humbling ourselves.
It looks like…
Noah built an ark. Mission.
Peter got out of the boat. Faith.
Moses held up his staff. Determination.
Three men stood in the fire. Fearlessness
The light of the world entering into poverty, dying on a cross and rising three days later. Obedience.
The Lord is asking for trust and obedience when we ask for the impossible. He is asking us to dig deep. Because we will need to believe in God of the possible if we are to ever have victory over the impossible. Remembering that when we go “all in” with God, He will take us places we would never think to go.
