Let’s Participate Together
By: Kaleigh Hoschar
One thing that my husband and I found when we were living in Richmond, shortly after we got married, was that we were completely isolated…
Yes we had each other! But we were severely separated from community. The level of loneliness we experienced was something we would never want to feel again!
What happens when we participate in life together is that we find ourselves putting people above ourselves. We find a sense of belonging and encouragement in hard times. We realize that life is a lot brighter with people in it!
This is something that AI can never do for us. No matter how hard it tries, it can’t throw a ball with us or participate in a board game. It can’t stand by your bedside in the hospital or bring you a meal when life is hard.
Ephesians 4:2 says, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
In this verse, when it says “bearing”... it’s not a negative… It's a joy! To bear means to support! To lift up each other when life gets a little hard or willy joyous!
Let’s remember today to participate in community and seek Jesus together! Carrying each other's burdens and celebrating each other’s victories!
